Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT)

Yoga Alliance® (YA) is the largest nonprofit, professional membership and trade association representing the yoga community. The mission of YA is to promote and support the integrity and diversity of the teaching of yoga – they achieve this mission by setting standards for professional yoga teacher training programs.

In order to achieve an RYT designation, at least 200 hours of coursework in the History, Anatomy, Philosophy, Methodology, Asana, and Discipline of Yoga must be completed at a RYS (Registered Yoga School). Once a RYT designation has been achieved and confirmed, the RYT proceeds with YA membership and is expected to complete continuing education courses to maintain the credential.

I am excited to share that I completed all requirements for the RYT 200 credential in an immersive training with The Kula Collective, a RYS, in June 2019 and I achieved the official credential from Yoga Alliance in July 2019.
